STEM Week #2 – All about Electricity!
For our second STEM Week of the school year, Technology Coordinator TJ Chipres led students in hands-on learning projects in the uses of electricity. Kindergarten through Grade 2 learned about circuits, positive and negative charges, and the flow of electrical current. Grades 3-5 made “lemon” batteries and explored how electricity is conducted. Middle Schoolers wired a diagram of a house to turn lights on and off by creating a circuit and using simple office supplies as switches. Special thanks to Ann Curry, grandmother to Thomas and Charlie Presler, and the BSS friends who helped conduct an electricity- filled STEM week!
