Congratulations Class of 2019!
As our 8th Graders graduate, we celebrate all of their hard work and outstanding achievements earned during their years at BSS. Our graduates earned multiple awards of merit, honors for outstanding academic excellence, and scholarships for exemplifying integrity and respect – the core of our school mission.
Each year, the faculty bestows three awards upon graduating 8th grade students who demonstrate outstanding Christian behavior, service, and leadership throughout his/her years at Blessed Sacrament School. The “Sr. Marita Ellis Christian Leadership and Service Award,” given in honor of the first principal of BSS, was a tie between Anna Connolly Lisle and Mia Passantino. The “Young Man of the Year” award was given to Owen Hull. The “Young Woman of the Year” award was earned by Julia Lungren.
We will miss their leadership as they leave BSS to enter the following high schools: Bishop Ireton, Bishop O’Connell, Edison High School, Georgetown Visitation, Gonzaga, Sacred Heart, St. Mark’s School, St. Stephens & St. Agnes, and TC Williams. We wish them many blessings as they transition into high school, yet have comfort in knowing that they can always call BSS home.
